A central element of the class is to enable children to develop cultural awareness of aspects of life in German speaking countries as well as creating a love for language learning. In each chapter, there will be new vocabulary and grammar lessons accompanied by a wide range of activities and extra materials such as songs, videos and language apps.
A typical lesson will include games, songs, physical activities and vocabulary exercises from the previous lessons. The four skills, reading, listening, writing, and speaking will be equally segmented during the classes.Vocabulary and grammar will always be presented through new teaching methods combined with media. New vocabulary and new grammar structures are practiced with various activities in the classroom. Children will use techniques that will help them at their language acquisition.
By the end of this class, children can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very simple sentences, which will satisfy basics expressions for communication.They can introduce themselves and share personal information with others – e.g. where they live, who they know, how old they are – and they can respond questions of this nature.
